Our premier product is known as BigVStudio and is actually a total package
composed of the following components:
Screenshots are always nice, so here they are.
BigVStudio is used to control Flash videos on the internet that are streamed to a
media server which can then be sent out to many, if not hundreds or thousands, of
viewers watching the video from any website that is set up to display one of the
BigV players. Currently, the only media server supported is the
Wowza Media Server. There are plans in the
future to provide support for
Adobe's Flash Media Server
as well as the open source
Red 5 Media Server.
- BigVStudio Control Panel
- BigV Player
- BigV DVR Player
- Player Generators
- PPV Utility
- Administration Interface
BigVStudio first requires a computer or server to be set up and running the Linux
operating system. We currently do not support a Windows server, but may do so in the
future if there is enough call for it. Most modern Linux distributions should work OK.
It must also have the Wowza Media Server in operation and functioning correctly. In
addition the server should have the Apache Web server, PHP5 version 5.3 or higher,
PHP Curl (if using Pay Per View), and MySQL server software. Once these requirements
are met, BigVStudio can be installed.
We also offer the BigV Player as a standalone for free downloading. This player can
pull its streams from any media server that supports the rtmp protocol. It can also
play static video files stored on a website. This player can also use encryption in its
HTML code to hide the URL of the videos and streams it is playing, just a little added
protection to keep anyone from stealing your videos or playing them from another website.
The BigV DVR player cannot be offered outside of the BigVStudio package since it relies
on BigVStudio and the Wowza Media Server module that is included in the package.
Soon to be the darling of the encoders, BigVEncoder is currently undergoing some
in-house testing. This is brand new and not ready for release, but is showing considerable
promise as it develops. There will be more info on this encoder as development continues.
Already it has some abilities that the big boy, FMLE, is unable to do. The power of
this encoder comes from the highly acclaimed FFMPEG which forms the core
of the encoder. BigVEncoder will be a free download and will be released initially
for Linux with a Windows version following later.
Another product we offer is actually a service that we can provide. BigVStudio is
relatively easy to setup and get running, but just in case you don't feel capable,
we can do it for you. We can do it from the beginning to the end, including a complete
server setup. Feel free to email or call for a price quote.
Do you feel you don't really need a full time server running, let alone the cost
of obtaining one or the time involved in maintaining it? Do not worry. BigVStudio actually
operates in "account" mode. Even if only one person is going to use BigVStudio,
he still has to set up an account for himself after installing it. And that is what we
can do for you on our own servers. We can set up an account for you to use on one of our
own servers. Then you just do the camera work and website work and control BigVStudio
as though it were your own. Call for pricing since everyone has different needs
such as time spent on the server and bandwidth requirements. But you will be surprised
at how reasonable it might be.
Test Drive BigVStudio
You can also take BigVStudio for a test drive before you buy. For a very small fee
to help cover our own server cost, we will set up an account for you just like we would
do for a rental customer. Then you can use BigVStudio for a day or two or up to a month
if you'd like. See how it works and if it will work for you. Then get your own
server and set it up and you will be in the internet video business.
